Upasana Shah

Upasana is a highly skilled Registered Nurse with extensive experience across the disability, health, and care sectors. Alongside her nursing role, she provides support work and mentoring through ACHIEVE Disability Services, where she is dedicated to empowering participants to achieve their individual goals in a safe, respectful, and person-centred way.

Upasana has significant experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), and people who are non-verbal or have complex communication needs. Her calm, patient, and compassionate approach allows her to build strong, trusting relationships while supporting participants to feel understood, respected, and supported in their daily lives.

With a strong clinical background, Upasana is confident in providing a wide range of nursing and health-related supports, including diabetes management, insulin administration, wound care, medication assistance, and ongoing health monitoring. She is highly attentive to participant wellbeing and safety and brings strong clinical judgement to her support work, particularly when working with individuals who have complex or high medical needs.

Upasana is passionate about ongoing learning and professional development and is eager to continue implementing her expertise within the disability sector. She enjoys mentoring and supporting others and values collaboration with families, support teams, and allied health professionals to ensure consistent and high-quality care outcomes.

Outside of work, Upasana enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and loves being outdoors. She values balance and wellbeing and brings this positive and grounded approach into her work with participants
