Mentor / Support Worker

Jacqueline Emms is a warm, bubbly and approachable NDIS Support Worker and Mentor with a strong background in Aged Care. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships, promoting independence and supporting participants to feel confident, valued and engaged. Jacqueline is also currently studying her Certificate IV in School Based Education Support, further strengthening her skills in supporting individuals with diverse needs.

Jacqueline has a strong background in Aged Care, where she developed valuable hands-on experience supporting individuals with their daily living needs, personal care, mobility and emotional wellbeing.

Her previous experience includes assisting with safe transfers, walking aids and specialised mobility equipment, while also supporting individuals to maintain their independence and safety. Jacqueline has a genuine passion for building meaningful relationships and enjoys providing companionship, engaging in conversations and encouraging participation in social activities and everyday routines. Her naturally friendly and energetic personality allows her to build rapport quickly, while her patient, respectful and empathetic approach ensures the people she supports feel comfortable, heard and valued. Jacqueline is reliable, organised and attentive to individual needs, with experience maintaining clean and safe environments, managing household tasks and completing accurate care documentation and incident reports. She understands the importance of providing support that is tailored to each individual and encourages choice, independence, confidence and participation wherever possible.

Jacqueline is currently studying her Certificate IV in School Based Education Support through The Institute of Teacher Aide Courses (ITAC), further developing her knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with diverse needs. With her combination of practical care experience, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and genuine passion for helping others, Jacqueline is a fantastic addition to the support team and a great fit for participants looking for a friendly, engaging and reliable mentor.
