John is a dedicated and compassionate support worker based in the Port Augusta and Quorn region, bringing a wealth of experience assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds. He is passionate about empowering people to make their own choices, achieve personal goals, and live fulfilling, independent lives.

With years of experience in the disability and community services sector, John has supported individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Down Syndrome, Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injuries (TBI/ABI), Alzheimer’s disease, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and Schizophrenia. He strongly believes that every person deserves autonomy and dignity, and he approaches his work with empathy, patience, and respect.

John’s professional background spans multiple support roles, including significant experience with Footsteps, ADAC, and the Department of Human Services (DHS). Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals recovering from addiction, prisoners reintegrating into the community, and youth at risk. Across all roles, John has remained steadfast in his mission to help people improve their wellbeing, build independence, and create positive change in their lives.

Outside of work, John enjoys an active and well-balanced lifestyle. He spends much of his free time fishing, playing eight-ball pool and snooker, and tending to his homegrown vegetables and fruit. John also makes walking part of his daily routine—covering up to 10 kilometres a day while taking in the beautiful surroundings of Port Augusta. Deeply connected to his community, he values quality time with family and friends, often sharing meals, outdoor adventures, and meaningful conversations that help him recharge and stay grounded.

With his broad experience, down-to-earth nature, and genuine dedication to supporting others, John continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of those he works with through ACHIEVE DISABILITY SERVICES PTY LTD.
