Nancy Dyer

Mentor / Support Worker

Nancy is a naturally caring, respectful, supportive, and positive support worker who is passionate about building people’s confidence and helping them achieve their goals. She is currently studying her Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) and is excited to bring her extensive background in health, wellness, and education into the disability sector.

For the past 25 years, Nancy has worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and department manager. Throughout her career, she has specialised in adapting physical activities and programs to meet the diverse needs of her clients. Her experience includes modifying environments and communication strategies for individuals with visual impairments, designing functional recovery movements for stroke survivors, and supporting safe injury rehabilitation.

Nancy has also worked in aged care as an Activities Coordinator, where she managed resident care, organised community outings, and developed programs that promoted physical, mental, and social wellbeing. Prior to this, she spent five years working in childcare, including supervising boarding residents at a hearing-impaired school, and also volunteered as a classroom aide.

With her diverse background in fitness, aged care, and childcare, Nancy has developed a strong ability to adapt her communication style and support approach to meet individual needs. She is committed to providing reliable, professional, and person-centred support, ensuring those she works with feel safe, motivated, empowered, and valued every day.
